Jewelery design event at Sistie

On Wednesday 17 July, 10 girls interested in jewelery met in cozy surroundings at Sistie in Hillerød. We held our first jewelery design event. The girls had learned the theme from home, which this time was the sea. Then they could think about design ideas for jewelery in advance.

The table was decorated according to the theme of the sea, so the girls had just the right inspiration when they later had to sit down and have fun drawing.

We had prepared a lot of exciting activities, and of course there were lots of snacks, good sandwiches and something delicious to drink in this heat.

For a start, Kamille talked about "being creative". How do we get the ideas we have in our heads down on paper so that others can understand our thoughts. She showed some of her own sketchbooks, in which she has drawn many ideas down. The girls listened attentively as there was a lot of good advice and inspiration from Kamille.

Afterwards, some of the sketches and the process of Melissa Bentsen's jewelry were shown. Everything from the first idea and inspiration to the production of the finished piece of jewellery. A very exciting process.

We also had our two sweet interns visiting, Sara and Sophie, who have each designed their own jewelery collection in collaboration with Sistie.

They are studying a professional bachelor's degree in jewellery, technology and business at Copenhagen Business Academy (KEA). The girls have helped to start up Sistie and have been in practice for 6 months, where they have had the opportunity to create their own collection.

Sara and Sophie talked about their training and what it was like to design their own jewelry for the girls who dream of creating their own jewelry. Sophie's collection is already out now and you can find it here . Sara's collection will be launched at the end of June.

After the presentations, the rest of the evening was spent drawing sketches and writing down ideas. They ate delicious sandwiches and had fun. We had arranged for some nice goodie bags for the girls, which they could sit and have a bit of fun with.

For the best ending to a super cozy evening, it stood on extra holes in the ears for the girls who wanted it. They were all super cool and many returned home with an extra set of pierced ears.
