At Sistie, we want to look after the environment - together with you. That is why all our new and future collections are made from 100% recycled silver. Recycled silver ♻️ This means that all the silver we use in the future has been remelted from old jewelery and not newly extracted from nature. By recycling materials, we save a lot of the planet's resources, so we can buy jewelery with a clear conscience.
All our jewelery is made of 925 sterling silver and is of course nickel free.
The gold-plated jewelery is plated with 18 carat gold and our silver jewelery is rhorinated. They are there to postpone the oxidation process that takes place in the silver. The oxidation process is what happens when your silver jewelry tarnishes and turns dark and black in it.
Many semi-precious stones are used in the jewellery, which by nature can vary in shape and colour, just as real freshwater pearls are used in several designs.
FSC
FSC stands for Forest Stewardship Council and is an international non-profit labeling scheme. The FSC label is a guarantee for wood and paper that you can buy with a clear conscience. In an FSC forest, no more wood is felled than the forest can reproduce. At the same time, FSC is a guarantee that animals and plant life are protected, and that the people who work in the forest are guaranteed training, safety equipment and decent wages.
Boxes and catalogs:
Sistie meets the requirements set for the environment and sustainability in the production of the raw materials we use in our production of boxes and packaging. All our jewelery boxes and catalogs are FSC certified.
Our catalog is printed on environmentally friendly paper. The organization behind FSC® makes sure to create decent conditions throughout the supply chain. From the time the saw blade is inserted into the tree until the paper ends up in Denmark and in printing. The local communities are guaranteed a fair payment and the forest workers are guaranteed a proper salary, contract and access to safety equipment.
